You will learn how to use Dropbox to create a link for a file, like a PowerPoint, video, or image within Dropbox to share in your Canvas Discussion post.
Follow these steps after you have uploaded your file to your Dropbox account.
1. Locate the file within Dropbox.
In this example, we are on the dropbox.com web interface.
2. Hover and select Share.
3. Click on Settings.
4. Click on Link for Viewing.
5. Click on Create link.
6. Click on Team members and select 'Anyone with link'.
7. Decide on Expiration, Password and Disable downloads.
8. Click on Save.
9. Click on Copy link.
10. Navigate in Canvas to your Discussion (in a separate tab).
11. Click on Reply.
12. Click on Links and select External Link.
13. Type some descriptive text [1] and paste the URL [2] from Dropbox.
14. Click Done.
15. Click on Save.
16. Your post now displays in the Discussion and anyone can click on the link to view your presentation.
