How do I create a Turnitin assignment?
You will learn how to create a Turnitin Assignment in your course in Canvas. There are two types of Turnitin assignments which can be used in your course: Turnitin Plagiarism Framework and Turnitin Assignment.
Follow these steps to create a Turnitin assignment.
4. A pop-up window will appear, allowing you to setup the assignment and other Turnitin options.
Add an assignment name, instructions to complete the assignment, a start date, due date, date grade/feedback gets release to students, and a maximum points possible.
- Start date and time: The date students will be able to start submitting to the assignment.
- Due date and time: The date by which students will no longer be able to submit to the assignment.
- Feedback release date and time: The date that any grading and feedback is visible to students. This does not affect when students can view similarity scores.
5. Review other settings.
- Review the other available settings categorized within the drop-downs to customize your assignment to your requirements. You can upload a template for your assignment, customize Grading and feedback settings, Submission settings, and Report settings. Learn more about these additional settings.
7. A Turnitin assignment is created BUT not yet published.
Be sure to publish the assignment when you are ready.
