How do I use TestFlex to print and distribute an in-person test?

You will learn how to distribute (print) your TestFlex test to your students.

Follow these steps after you have created your test and your answer key.

1. Click on the Distribute button.

Tip: Before you distribute your test, it might be a good idea to re-sync your class enrollments to be sure TestFlex has your current list.

2. Select For Paper (Download and Print).

3. Select Print Preferences.

Options include:
(1) choose whether to print any extra copies of the answer sheet. If you have a large class size, it might be handy to have a couple of extra copies just in case makes a serious marking error on their answer sheet and wants to start over.

(2) Decide whether to also print out the answer key(s).

(3) Decide whether to include the test document. The test document is a PDF file you have previously uploaded to TestFlex which contains the list of questions that you plan to hand out along with the answer sheet.

(4) Only print to both sides of the paper if the copy machine you are going to use to scan the answer sheets can accommodate scanning both sides. Plus, you must also set the printer settings in Step 7 to print to both sides; otherwise, you will end up with a bunch of blank pages.

4. Click on Download Tests

5. Click on the printer icon after verifying that the answer sheet appears as it is intended to.

6. Verify the printer, then click on More settings.

7. Check the paper size, scale, and whether to print two-sided.

The scale should be set to 100%.

Also, if you ticked the box in the Print Preferences for two-sided printing, then be sure to also tick the box here for two-sided printing.

8. Click on Print.

9. Pick your printed materials up from the copy machine.
