Student: How do I download all of the Assignment submissions I have made the entire time I have been using Canvas?
You will learn how to download all of the Assignment submissions you have uploaded to Canvas. This includes all of the courses where you have submitted assignments for your entire time using Canvas. This zip folder you download will include only the original files you have uploaded for assignments or the text (saved as an HTML file) that you have written in the text editor. It does not include any Discussion submissions or Quizzes. It does not include any grades or instructor comment/feedback.
1. From the Canvas Dashboard, click on Account.
2. Click on Settings.
3. Click on Download Submissions.
4. Click on Create Export.
5. Wait while the ZIP package is being created.
You can navigate away or do something else while this ZIP package is being created, as it may take a few minutes to maybe longer if you are downloading 4 years of Assignment submissions.
6. Click on New Export.
7. Navigate to your Downloads folder.
8. Right-mouse click on the ZIP folder and select Extract All.
9. The default location is the same location as your ZIP folder, so click on Extract.
10. Now, you can explore the Assignment submissions that are included in the folder.
The folder is organized by course name, then Assignment name.
