Student: How do I access an old, closed course on Canvas?
You will learn how a student can get access to an old Canvas course that is closed.
To find out if your old course is available, follow these steps.
1. After logging in to Canvas, click on Courses in the global navigation menu.
2. Click on All Courses.
3. Scroll down the page to Past Enrollments
If you do not see Past Enrollments or the desired course title, then that course is not available for students to view.
4. Click on the title of the desired course.
5. If you have access, you will see the course content.
If your course is not list, contact your previous professor.
Your professor has control over who may view their old course. Generally speaking, most professor do not allow students to view a course once it is closed; however, you may ask your professor for permission.
