How do I turn off the Discussion Summary AI tool in my course?
You will learn how to turn off the Discussion Summary tool for your course in Canvas. This AI-based tool will create a summary of your currently open discussion thread. Note that this is a Teacher-role only tool. Student do not see this tool.
Current Canvas settings require this to be an opt-out feature rather than an opt-in feature.
1. Enter your course and click on the Setting button.
2. Click on the Feature Options tab.
3. Scroll down to Discussion Summary.
4. Click on the checkmark and select Disabled.
