choose interactive questions

Info: Below are the 13 Interactive Question Types when creating your Mentimeter activities.

  1. Multiple Choice: Great for polls, voting, opinion checks, and quick checks for understanding. You can also designate correct answers when appropriate.
  2. Word Cloud: Turns short text responses into a visual word cloud, with more common responses appearing larger. Great for brainstorming or quickly identifying common ideas.
  3. Open Ended: Allows participants to submit longer written responses, ideas, reflections, or feedback.
  4. Scales: Lets participants rate statements or items along a numerical scale. Useful for measuring confidence, agreement, satisfaction, or understanding.
  5. Ranking: Allows participants to place options in order of priority or preference. Useful for comparing ideas or identifying what students consider most important.
  6. Q&A: Gives participants a space to submit questions directly to the presenter. Participants can also upvote questions they would most like addressed.
  7. Guess the Number: Participants enter a numerical guess in response to a question. This can work well for estimation activities or questions where students predict a value. Mentimeter currently lists this as one of its interactive question types.
  8. 100 Points: Gives each participant 100 points to distribute among several choices, helping show relative priority or importance.
  9. 2 by 2 Grid: Allows participants to rate items across two dimensions and plots the results on a grid. This works well for comparisons such as importance vs. difficulty or impact vs. effort.
  10. Quick Form: Collects structured information from participants through a short form. Depending on the account, it can be used for information such as names, email addresses, dates, or selections.
  11. Pin on Image: Lets participants place a pin on a specific location within an image. This can be useful for maps, diagrams, anatomy images, or other visual identification activities.
  12. Select Answer (Quiz Competition): A competitive quiz question where participants choose from provided answer options. Quiz Competition questions can award points and use a timer and leaderboard.
  13. Type Answer (Quiz Competition): A competitive quiz question where participants type the answer themselves rather than selecting from choices. Like Select Answer, it can be scored as part of a Quiz Competition.

7. Once the activity is selected, you can then begin to start inserting a question along with some answers

Info: In this example below we asked the question - "What year was Cal State Fullerton founded?"
