How do I create a new course?
You will learn how to create a new course in Canvas for your use. There are a variety of uses, such as using it to develop a new online course, trying out new features or activities, or building activities, quizzes, assignments, etc., then importing them into the course in which you want to use them.
1. Enter your Canvas Dashboard.
2. Click on Start a New Course.
3. Type a name for the course.
You can give the course pretty much any name you want. Try a name that will be useful for you to remember what it is for at a glance.
You can also choose a different license if desired or even make the course public. A public course is searchable via the internet, so you cannot restrict access to a public course.
4. Click on Create course.
