How do I set notifications so that I get an email every time I post an Announcement in my course?

You will learn how to set your Canvas notifications, so that you will receive an email (the same as your students do) whenever you post an Announcement to your course.

1. Click on your Account profile in Canvas.

2. Click on Notifications.

3. Note the message at the top.

If you make a course-level change to the notifications, it will supersede your overall notifications.

4. Click on the icon for the Announcement Created By You.

5. Select frequency of how often you want to receive an email.

If the purpose of being notified is so that you are certain that your students receive an email when you post an announcement, then select Notify immediately.
