How do I connect my chosen LibreTexts free online textbook with my course?

You will learn how to connect your free LibreTexts online textbook with your Canvas course. This process will simply import chapter modules with an external link to each section.

It is recommended that you import this content to a sandbox course first, so that you know what will be imported and how it will look before you import it into your regular course.

Follow these steps after you have logged in to LibreTexts.org and have selected a textbook or mixed your own textbook content.

1. Open the LibreTexts.org webpage where your text is located.

2. Click on Downloads.

3. Select Import in LMS.

4. Enter your Canvas course and click on Import Existing Content.

5. Click on Select One for Content Type.

6. Select Common Cartridge 1.x Package.

7. Click on Choose File.

9. Select LibreText.imscc and click on Open.

10. Click on All content.

If you only want specific content, say for example, only Chapter 1, then click on Select specific content.
