How do I favorite a course, so that it will display on my Canvas Dashboard?
Did your course disappear? Do you want to know how to find your upcoming courses?
You will learn how to "star" or "favorite" your courses, so that they will display on your Canvas Dashboard. The Dashboard holds only 20 course cards (links to your courses) and sometimes they can "go missing".
Here is a step by step guide on how to get the course cards to display on your Dashboard.
1. Enter your course.
2. Click "Courses" on the Global Navigation Menu.
The Courses icon will open to a sub-menu with a link to "All Courses."
3. Click "All Courses".
When you click on the link, a listing of all of your courses will display.
4. All your classes will show in the list.
Notice the "star" icon before the name of the class. You can enable or disable showing the course in the dashboard by clicking the star icon.
Using Global Navigation, click on Dashboard.
You can now see a list of the courses you "starred" or "favorited".
Note: You can edit the courses that show in the Dashboard at any time by repeating this process.
You will need to repeat this process every time you want different courses to display on your Dashboard.
